This trip to northern Peru offers a unique experience exploring millenary civilizations, with a focus on pre-Inca cultures, their archaeological sites, and the rich cultural tradition of the region. It begins in the Sacred City of Caral, considered the oldest civilization in the Americas, famous for its advanced urban planning and anti-seismic architecture. We visit the ceremonial pyramids and remains of elite and common dwellings, highlighting the absence of evidence of warfare in the region.
The tour continues through Paramonga, with its fortress of Chimú origin, and enters the archaeological complexes of Chankillo, Sechín and Pañamarca. Chankillo is an ancient solar observatory, considered the oldest in America, while Sechin and Pañamarca offer a deep insight into the architecture and ceremonial art of pre-Inca cultures.
In Trujillo, you will explore the Huacas del Sol and de la Luna, Moche ceremonial centers that preserve impressive murals, as well as Chan Chan, the largest mud city in pre-Hispanic America. The trip also includes a stop in Huanchaco, known for its caballitos de totora, used by local fishermen since ancient times.
The route continues north, with a visit to the El Brujo Archaeological Complex, where the tomb of the Señora de Cao, an important Mochica ruler, was discovered. In Chiclayo, you will visit the Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum, which houses the treasures of the Lord of Sipan, one of the most emblematic figures of the Mochica culture.
The tour concludes at the archaeological sites of Huaca Rajada and Túcume, known for their adobe pyramids, and in the Pomac Dry Forest, where you will find huacas of the Sicán culture, famous for their gold masks. In addition, visit the Mercado de Brujos in Chiclayo, an ancestral healing center that preserves the traditional healing practices of northern Peru.

06:00 AM - Departure from Lima Pick up from hotel or meeting point, departure via Panamericana Norte to the Sacred City of Caral. 9:30 am; approximately we will be arriving to Caral which is considered the oldest civilization in America. It stands out for its urban planning, architecture and organized social system without evidence of war. Within our tour, we will visit:
11:45 AM approximately- Departure to Paramonga PM - Visit to the Paramonga Fortress, believed to have functioned as an administrative center or strategic surveillance point. Some chroniclers mistakenly identified it as an Inca fort, although it is of Chimú origin. The visit lasts approximately 1 hour. Then we will have lunch in Barranca (at the passenger's expense). 4:00 pm. Departure to Casma 7:00 pm. Arrival to Casma and installation in the Hotel. Free dinner
07:00 Departure from Casma to Chankillo Early departure to avoid the heat. The site of Chankillo is best visited in the morning for the natural lighting and to avoid the strong midday winds. 07:20 - 08:00: Visit to the Chankillo Solar Observatory Chankillo is an archaeoastronomical complex dating back to the 4th century B.C. with 13 towers precisely aligned to observe the movements of the sun throughout the year. It is considered the oldest solar observatory in the Americas and was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2021. we will visit
09:00: Transfer to Sechín 09:30: Visit to Sechin and its museum Cerro Sechin is a monumental complex with carved stone murals more than 3,500 years old. It is one of the oldest representations of ritual architecture and power in pre-Columbian Peru. Its façade presents sculptures of warriors and human sacrifices. We will visit:
Lunch (OPTIONAL) 2:00 pm: Transfer to Pañamarca Pañamarca was an important Moche ceremonial center (V-VII century A.D.). It is characterized by its polychrome murals, stairways, and ceremonial architecture. It is a less visited site, but highly valuable for its preserved mural art. We will visit:

8:30 am - Transfer to the Huacas de Moche The Huacas del Sol and de la Luna were the main ceremonial centers of the Mochica culture (I-VIII centuries A.D.). In the Huaca de la Luna, there are still impressive polychrome murals showing the deity Ai-Apaec, ritual scenes and warrior figures. The larger Huaca del Sol was an administrative and political center built with millions of adobe bricks. We will visit:
12:30 pm - Lunch (optional) 2:30 pm - Transfer to Chan Chan Declared UNESCO World Heritage Site, Chan Chan was the capital of the Chimú kingdom (IX-XV century A.D.), considered the largest mud city in pre-Hispanic America. Its palaces, squares and walls reflect the greatness of this coastal culture. We will visit:
5:30 pm - Transfer to Huanchaco Brief stop at the traditional beach resort, famous for its caballitos de totora, used by local fishermen since ancient times. Overnight in Huanchaco
7:30 am - Departure from Huanchaco to the Chicama Valley During the trip, we will cross coastal landscapes and fertile valleys of northern Peru. 9:00 am - Visit to El Brujo Archaeological Complex This Mochica complex (1st-7th century A.D.) is one of the most outstanding ceremonial centers of the north coast. In the Huaca Cao Viejo the tomb of the Mrs. de Cao, Mochica ruler whose remains and ornaments revolutionized history by revealing the political and religious power of a woman in ancient Peru. 12:30 pm - Lunch (optional) 1:30 pm - Continuation of the trip to Chiclayo During the journey you will be able to appreciate the changes in landscape between valleys, desert and coastal areas. 4:30 pm - Visit to the Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum (Lambayeque) Considered one of the most impressive museums in Latin America. In its rooms are exhibited the original treasures found in Huaca Rajada, including ornaments of gold, silver, copper and precious stones that accompanied the Lord of Sipan, the highest Mochica ruler. We will visit:

9:00 am - Departure to Huaca Rajada (Sipán) Located 35 km from Chiclayo, this archaeological site was the scene of the discovery of the tomb of the Lord of Sipan, considered the most important archaeological discovery in America in the 20th century. We will visit:
pm - Lunch (optional). 1:30 pm - Transfer to the Túcume Archaeological Complex Known as the Valley of the Pyramids, Tucume gathers more than 26 adobe pyramids that belonged to the Lambayeque, Sicán and Chimú cultures. The site was a ceremonial and political center of great importance in northern Peru. We will visit:

8:30 am - Departure to the Historic Sanctuary Pomac Forest This dry forest is the largest on the Peruvian coast and home to centuries-old carob trees. In addition to its natural wealth, it is also home to huacas of the Sicán culture, famous for their gold masks and funerary offerings. We will visit:
12:30 pm - Lunch (optional). 2:00 pm - Visit to the Warlock Market (Chiclayo) A unique space in Peru where the traditions of curanderismo and ancestral healing of the north are preserved. Here you can find medicinal herbs, amulets, potions and ritual objects of great cultural value. We will visit:
5:00 pm - Transfer to Chiclayo airport Assistance in boarding the departure flight.
