About this tour

Discover the history and culture of Cajamarca in a tour of its historic center. We start at the Plaza de Armas, scene of the capture and death of the Inca Atahualpa. We will admire the impressive facades of the Cathedral, San Francisco and Belen, and we will visit the old colonial hospitals. We will visit the Archaeological Museum, with pieces of the Cajamarca Culture, and the Ethnographic Museum, which reflects its traditions and folklore. We will finish at the natural viewpoint of Cerro Santa Apolonia, where the emblematic Sillas del Inca are located, enjoying a panoramic view of the city.

Itinerary

We start at the Plaza de Armas, historic center of the city, where the capture and death of the Inca Atahualpa took place, then we will observe the facades of the Cathedral, San Francisco and Belen Temples; then we will visit the colonial hospitals for men and women; the Museums: Archaeological with evidence of the Cajamarca Culture and Ethnographic with the customs, traditions and folklore of the people of Cajamarca to finally climb to the Santa Apolonia Hill, natural viewpoint and know the traditional Inca Chairs.   NOTE: In the city tours, the displacement is walking, No includes mobility. Not available Saturday or Sunday
