10 am.- Our journey begins with a transfer to the district of New Tingo, We will make a brief stop at the charming starting point to coordinate lunches. Afterwards, we will live a unique experience on board the modern gondola lift system, The first of its kind in the country, it will take us on a comfortable and panoramic 20-minute ride to the Parador La Malca. From there, we will begin a light hike of approximately 20 minutes, surrounded by spectacular Andean scenery, until we reach the impressive Kuelap Archaeological Complex, an imposing fortress built by the Chachapoya culture. During the guided tour of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, we will learn about the history, architecture and mysteries of this ancient site, located more than 3,000 meters above sea level. GOCTA
Our journey begins at 9:00 a.m. with destination to the picturesque district of Cocachimba, This is the starting point for this adventure. Upon arrival, we will make a brief stop to coordinating lunches and purchasing tickets to the tourist circuit.
From Cocachimba, we started a scenic hike of approximately 3 hours through trails surrounded by lush vegetation, bird watching and spectacular views. For those who prefer a more comfortable option, there is the alternative of RENT HORSES with local guides who will accompany you to your destination.
The goal: to reach the second fall of the Gocta Waterfall, A magical place of more than 700 meters of altitude. There, our guide will share with you ancestral legends, local stories and will give you time to rest, take pictures and connect with nature. After this impressive visit, we will return to Cocachimba to enjoy a traditional lunch in a local restaurant overlooking the waterfall.
KARAJIA AND QUIOCTA CAVE
The adventure begins at 9:00 to.m. with exit to the district of Lámud, There we will make a brief stop to coordinate lunches. From there we will head towards the Quiocta Cavern, an impressive subway system located among millenary rock formations. During the tour inside the cavern, you will witness a unique geologic landscape, with stalagmites and stalactites of various shapes and sizes, which have been sculpted by nature over thousands of years. A specialized guide will accompany you at all times to ensure a safe, informative and fascinating experience. At the end of the visit, we will return to Lámud to enjoy a typical lunch of the region. In the afternoon, we continue to one of the most impressive archaeological icons of the Peruvian north: the Sarcophagi of Karajia, a group of funerary sculptures located on a cliff, which represent a unique funerary pattern in the world. Here you will learn about the beliefs and funerary techniques of the Chachapoya culture, while enjoying a breathtaking panoramic view. Estimated time of return to Chachapoyas:
